About Us
Greenwood Photography opened in Woodbridge, Virginia in 1962 by Edward J. Greenberg. Mr. Greenberg had been the Chief of Photography for the U. S. Army and in that capacity had photographed General Eisenhower, General MacArthur, President Truman, Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth.
Mr. Richard W. Ruff joined the studio in 1962 as an apprentice to Mr. Greenberg and bought the studio in 1976 upon Mr. Greenberg’s retirement. During his 50 years in photography he has photographed everyone from The Beatles and Bob Dylan to President Johnson, President Clinton, President George W. Bush and President Obama. Mr. Ruff continues to manage long time government and military clients.
Mr. Martin Caprera joined Greenwood Photography in 2001 and immediately brought the studio into the digital age with his artistry and talent. He is an award winning photographer with over thirty years of experience. He has been a featured lecturer at several professional photography events and his images have appeared in numerous international magazines and books. Martin is currently Vice President and Chief Photographer of Greenwood Photography.
